This is an excerpt from my monthly Mary Kay newsletter... thought maybe some of you might be interested in this opportunity:

The Mary Kay Be-A-Consultant-For-A-Day Makeup Challenge!!!!!!!

I am really excited about this and I hope you guys are too! I'm not shooting to be like the average MK consultant, I want to have even more fun! My first step is to issue a challenge to all of you in a fun game I'm told has never been done before. I'm also looking to expand my list of customers, and I need your help in doing that. So, here goes: If you've ever wanted to be a consultant or wandered if you would be good at suggesting products to your friends-- or if you've looked for a way to earn free Mary Kay product-- this is your chance. Also, you will earn bonus points with your friends!

Here's how it works:

Step 1: You all will have (hopefully by the time this all starts) received free samples of MK product from me in the mail. Try those out, experiment with them, see how you like them.

Step 2: Make out a list of co-workers, friends, relatives, etc.. that you think would like to receive free makeup.

Step 3: (here comes the fun part). Using your knowledge of your friends, what their coloring is, and what they like-- go to my website at www.marykay.com/RebeccaFox and pick out a couple of eyeshadows, lipsticks, and blushes that you think your friends will love, maybe not something they would normally try- but something you think will look good on them.

Step 4: Send me their information (mailing address is really all I need) and which products you want me to send them. I'll pay the postage and ship them free samples. They'll love you for it. With the product will have a card saying that I'm looking for new customers, you thought they might be interested and hand picked the shades, and there is no obligation to buy anything. (If you'd like to call them and mention you get credit, that's your own choice.)

Step 5: Now we put you to the test, and see how good your product reccomendations were. Whoever sells their friends the most Mary Kay product will receive 20% of the combined friends order in free Mary Kay products. Second place will get 10% and Third place will get 5%. So... if you suggest products to 25 friends, and those 25 friends buy $500 worth of stuff and you come in first place... you will get $500 X 20 percent = $100 of free MK product of your choice! And that's for maybe 10 minutes of your time.

Cruisin'......

So, most of you know that I loved my Carnival Cruise.... and most of you know that I can't wait to go on another one and am already saving up. I wanted to plan for one with a bunch of my friends for next summer, BUT... I'm highly contemplating going sooner than that.

See, the Molly Ringwalds, only the greatest and most fun 80s tribute band ever are going with 92.3 the Diva- only the bestest radio station ever--- on an 80s Retro Cruise... It's a Carnival cruise, with all of the regular carnival activites- with added Diva/Molly's stuff, for a fraction of the price, because it's through www.myvipcruises.com.

So, here are the details:

From: August 27-Sept 1
Leaving/Returning: Leaves out of New Orleans, Docks back in New Orleans
Goes to: Cozumel, Playa del Carmen, and some other Mexican place that escapes me right now.
Price: $400 approx for an oceanview room (per person) $500 for a balcony room (better if claustrophobic) A $200 deposit is required ASAP before you can reserve your room, and the rest you need to pay before you get on the boat.
Boat: Carnival Sensation

This is $500, includes all foods, all non-carbonated/non-alcoholic beverages. Alcohol and coke is extra, as are any of the activities (casino, tours, etc.). So you're looking at about 2 weeks salary for the vacation of a lifetime! What a great end of summer fling!
