    Just another Manic Monday...

For some reason, my professors are continuing to be absolutely insistent on having all of our exams, papers, and other assignments due on Mondays. Sucks that my day with the most classes is also, coincedentally Monday. I'm not expecting the teachers to know my schedule (which, they should anyways because they all teach in the same department and know the Psych seniors all have to take the same classes this year), but even in their own classes, wouldn't common sense dictate that you should spread out when assignments are due?? Maybe the teachers that are reading this can help me understand....

    Customer Service HELL.. Part 2:

    Here are some updates:

Dell - after electrocuting myself twice on the cable, then on the tower itself, my ultra hot (well he sounded hot, anyways) customer service rep decided that he felt really sorry for me, especially since he had kept me on hold for an hour while he figured out their computer system (he was new). I did however learn that his name was Philip and he goes to school in Washington studying Forestry. Anyways, he decided to write me up as a safety risk so I'd get a new cable for free. Turns out what he did made me entitled to get a brand new computer for free! Score! Wasn't so bad after all.

Wendy's - I met with the District manager, and he was a complete asshole. He wouldn't even refund the $5 I paid for the raw chicken sandwich, however, he did offer me $10 free in Wendy's coupons. What a terd! Why would I want to eat there when they tried to kill me with salmonilla?? It all boils down to the fact that he was pissy that I called the Board of Health on them (which resulted in a surprise inspection where they found some things definitely wrong with the store) I rebutted his offer, and have a meeting with the owner of the Chalmette stores, hopefully when he returns my call. I'll keep ya'll updated, if I have to sue- I will. His argument is that it was a freak thing. Maybe so, but if the entire process hadn't been screwed up (they messed up the order numerous times, didn't give me a receipt, and the manager was bitchy when I called) then maybe I would think that was okay. Besides, it was completely raw! You couldn't not tell that by looking at it. So either the employees a) put it there on purpose or b) weren't paying attention to making my food. Either way, that store has a serious problem on their hands. I'm gonna call Morris Bart! Maybe I'll get back the $350 I lost last Friday. I at least want the money for lost work/school... plus a refund for my sandwich.

    A Fraternity Prank??

Somewhere along the line I signed up for Yahoo personals, and I still get ads via e-mail. Most of the time I just skip over them, but this one caught my attention. A fraternity prank? Ex-girlfriend? Or is he really a keeper? Tell me what you think!

Here is the text of the ad:

Everyone calls me Kenny and I am from Harahan. I have been having herpes for a couple of years and enjoy passing it on to others with out telling the gril I've got it. I coach the New Orleans Blaze and belong to UNO's Beta (Theta) Xi frat. If you would like herpes, I'm your man to help you get it.

Okay, I've spent enough time avoiding homework & studying.. back to the books!

    CUSTOMER SUPPORT HELL!

Okay, so I don't know what exactly I've done lately to piss off the tech support gods, but apparently it was something pretty bad. This is how the past week has gone:

Flashback to week before last - I put in a call to Cox Communications as a new customer (yay) - also to Atmos Energy for gas. I set up both appoinments for Tuesday, and made arrangements to take off of work so I could get it all done at once.

    Back to last week...
Tuesday - Atmos comes to set up the gas. After they leave, I realize I still don't have hot water. Cox is a no show.
Wednesday - I have hot water in the kitchen, but not in the bathroom. Still no showers.
Thursday - I finally have realized that I have no hot water in the bathroom because the hose under the sink is not long enough to reach the faucet, how did that happen. Cox comes to install my cable. This was supposed to happen at 8am, he came at 10:00 and stayed until 11:30. Unfortunately, after he left, the cable modem crapped out.
11:30-12:00 - I spent on hold.. someone finally tells me they will send another tech out.
    3:30 - still no tech
    3:30-4:30 - on hold
4:30-7:30 - waiting for second tech who no shows
They tell me they will return on Friday evening. I get home at 5:30, and the tech isn't there. Wait until 7:30, and leave because of FLIES everywhere (long story). At 8:30 he calls to tell me he's a no show.
Tuesday night - Tech is supposed to come again. While waiting, I spend 42 minutes on hold because my Cox bill is $160 more than it's supposed to be. They fix it, and I wait. Tech calls again to say he's a no show.
Wednesday - Tech finally comes and fixes it. Meanwhile, I'm eating my sandwich from Wendy's that I raced to get so I could eat before he comes, and Wendy's screwed up my order TWICE, giving me the wrong sandwich and fries instead of my sandwich & salad. Finally they literally THROW a sandwich at me, and I eat half of it before I realize, the chicken is COMPLETELY RAW.
YUCK. So I'm on hold again for another hour with them seeing what they will do for me because I am now throwing up everywhere.
Also, I'm writing this while I've been on hold with Dell now for 1:01:12. That's right, ONE HOUR, 1 minute, 12 seconds. My computer is electrocuting me. No big deal. And still no showers, by the way. All flies gone except for 12 or so, exterminator is coming tomorrow, I hope.

So, that's it for now-- sorry to have such a negative post, but I felt like I HAD TO SHARE. Hopefully my week will get better!
