Anyone heard of Gmail? It's Google's new mail, which looks surprisingly like a combination between Yahoo & Outlook, only seems even easier to use. And you get 1000MB of space! Sounds too good to be true, anyone heard any negatives about it? (Like for example, that anyone can read your e-mail?) It's just the beta, and I'm trying it out.. so e-mail me at RebeccaFox@gmail.com if you'd like to help me test it :) And we know I always like getting mail!

I'm looking forward to National Scrapbooking Day- I just need to go get some more pictures developed, which I will do tonight. I have lots of creative juices flowing, so hopefully I can keep it up until then! And, us girls always have a lot of fun together!
Sunday Tommy and I are going to the Hornets game. We had so much fun last week (in our free $40 seats) that we decided to splurge (for some cheaper ones, of course). As if going to an NBA playoff game isn't exciting enough, Ted has informed me that my favorite Idol reject, William Hung- will be performing at Halftime! YAY!

In other news, I'm just trying to plow through this week- continuing to go to school, work, and everything else, despite my shitty mood. At least I'm trying to "keep on keepin' on", as Joe Dirt would say.

We've been having some interesting discussion lately thanks to Amanda & Bobby about annoying commercials. Tommy & I just saw the most disturbing commercial we've ever seen.
It advertises a new CD, called "Jordan Mc Knight Performs: New Kids on the Block: The Remix Album"
I thought this was a horrid joke- but Best Buy, Amazon, and other CD sites backed it up. See for yourself:

Now... I loved NKOTB, as any true child of the late 80s early 90s would (female anyways), but a remix album? Why tarnish something so fondly remembered? And what's worse-- why have only ONE of them do this? I suppose Jordan (who was always the one everyone thought would go farthest in life) is just really hard up for cash??

Rebecca at 8:18 AM Sorry it's been awhile... the past few days have been excruciating.. I've been feeling pretty sick. Shrug. First it felt like a stomach virus, then just muscle aches, and now I have a migraine. But- I've plowed through only missing 1 day of school/work (go me!) and the week is almost over, so everything will be well soon.
Gold Miner This game is the shiznit! I usually don't say words like that, nor do I play cheesy internet games (well, okay I'm lying about that last part) - but this game ROCKS. Who would have thought I got to it off of William Hung's site? I got my father addicted to it (and he doesn't play anything not having to do with cars). Tommy loves it too! So check out the game.. it's so simple everyone can figure it out- and even if you have bad hand/eye coordination like me, you can still at least get through the first couple of levels.

American Idol Last night, for those of you who don't know- American Idol shocked pretty much everyone, by voting off one of the best 3 performers from the night before. I can't say that I'm THAT surprised, for two reasons: 1) the judges all came out on ET and said that they were completely shocked by who was given the boot (which meant that it WASN'T John Stevens) and 2) If you've ever noticed, whoever is the one who SHOULD go- is never the one TO go. The reason being is that a) People vote for who is cutest or has the best personality (not the best vote), and b) People vote for those they think are in danger.. example "Since Fantasia did awesome tonight, I don't need to vote for her- I should use my vote for someone who really needs it, like.. John Stevens." So.. call it the bystander effect.
Anyways, it was totally interesting- they broke it up into "group A" (which consisted of "the divas" - Fantasia, Jennifer, and LaToya) and group B (those that were not good enough last night) - and told George Huff to go into the "best group" - and he wasn't sure, even though Group A was SURE they were the best group, and called him over to join them. Then Secrest announces that group B was the better group. EVERYONE booed, and was in shock. I bet they thought he was joking! And poor George was about to cry! This is one of the better things that could have happened for ratings, and you can tell that the producers knew this by the way the re-did the method of telling them who got the cut. Definitely kept it spiced up... people will be sure to tune in next week. I feel a little bit sorry for Jennifer Hudson, she did great the other night- but she really didn't deserve to go. But ,she wasn't one of my favorites, so, adieu!
In other TV news, for those of you who want to know what happens on Friends through the end- I can give you all the details.. because I always find good spoiler sources. but, I won't post them as not to ruin it for others. If you want to know, just ask! I can tell you that I wasn't thrilled with tonights episode, but the next 2 are definitely not to miss.

Ever had one of those weeks where EVERYTHING went wrong? Well, from finding out that I'm failing my stupid environmental class, to having my car overheat, to having my new little precious kitten attempt to claw my eyes out- it's been one of those weeks ;)
Tonight I will probably either hang around the house, or maybe hang out with Tommy. Tomorrow night is Loyola's Riverboat, which I will be more than happy to attend if we can get a group together. Basically, what it is is that you pay $10 ($8 if you pay before you get to the door) to dress up in semi-formal attire, eat snack food, and dance. But the cool part is that you're on a Mississippi River Cruise while you dance. Usually, you have to pay anywhere from $20-$50 for these cruises, so this ain't bad at all. And it's at night, so it's beautiful, and there's good music! So.. if anyone is interested, let me know. The boat sails at 9:45. If not, then I may try to go to a movie or bowling or something.
Check out this awesome game.. I heard about it on the radio, and it really is as addictive as they say. If you don't like logic puzzles, then you will probably hate it after a couple of minutes- but if you do like solving mysteries, etc... you will be absolutely addicted. I was almost sad when I figured out the solution. Basically, the premise is that you got drunk last night & have woken up and are somehow locked in this red room. You have to find objects and use them to escape. The guy who did it is Japanese, so the English is pretty bad- but understandable. But it is SO much fun! Here is the link:

My Tribute to Wrestling: Girl's don't like these types of "rings"
As I sit here writing this, I'm at Hotel Minnesota watching the phenomenon that we can wrestling. Only- I don't really enjoy watching the wrestling (minus the hot guys, of course)- I enjoy watching the guys go beserk over watching the wrestling. Here's what I've learned so far:
- there are good guys and bad guys, but they change their minds often and according to ratings
- everyone acts really macho, even those who dress REALLY REALLY gay. How am I supposed to take a man seriously (even with a chair in his hands), when he's wearing pink spandex?
- The female wrestlers, some are "classy" and get offended when you call them sluts... and some are "slutty" and acknowledge it. Only the classy ones are the ones that are always naked in Playboy. I guess it's okay because they get paid more.
- The longer a match takes, the better it is. So, even if you have to pretend fall off a ladder five times before you can get to the belt that's hanging, or trip over your own feet twice before getting to the metal chair.. somehow that makes it better. Coordination doesn't count here, folks.
I'll continue to watch the wrestling (at least as long as either Randy Orton and/or the Rock are around)... and I'll continue to learn more about this fine sport.
In other news...
* Going back to work after a break is kind of fun... going back to school after a break SUCKS.
* Crawfish rocks- even if I have eaten over 20 pounds of them this past week.
* I managed to spend $200 this past week on clothes at the mall (much needed) and somehow freaking $65 bucks on scrapbooking stuff (NO idea how). But.. I don't feel guilty!
* I stopped at Bud's Broiler & won $250 while I was playing for video poker waiting for food, and won another $500 at Tommy & I's monthly trip to the Treasure Chest. Which is why I don't feel guilty about the above spending. Still trying to save though!
* I got my mom a kitten for Mother's Day/Easter. Although it's really really cute (I'll post a picture when I get one)-- she's bad. Tommy suggested Dreamsicle or Sherbet as names because of her orange color. Other names were Annie (obvious, especially b/c she was an orphan), Lucy (red hair, lots of trouble), and I suggested Satan. Finally- Lily was chosen.. so that's pretty cute, especially since I have a dog named DaisY! :)

- my cousin Desirae has just found out that she has a brain tumor
- my Grandmother (Dad's mom) beat breast cancer, and other types of cancer, and now she has been diagnosed with bone cancer. She is trying hard to overcome it- and is still battling on, even though she's 83!

Rebecca at 6:50 PM This weekend has been pretty interesting. Friday night, Tommy and I's "date" ended up being us sleeping. Oh well.... Saturday was fun times spent with good friends. Saturday night's Luau party was great- not tons of people, but just the right mix. Highlights included: Matt's Magnum, Bobby's dramatic chair-flip, Mark toasted, Ali/Chantal/Me/Chassidy/Candace's tease feast, the cake that would never come out of the oven (although it ended up good), Brian's little dance, Matt looking for Lauren, and we can't ever forget Tommy's buzz. All and all it was a great time- props to Bobby & Ali for decorations and stuff- and everyone who brought food/drinks.
Today is just a vegging day for everyone (probably has something to do with the fact that we finally got to sleep around 4am)- so, I guess I'll be missing the Strawberry Fest, which sucks :( But.. Tommy and I do plan on hanging out, maybe playing some football in the park, or going to the mall. We're also going Bowling tonight- so if you're interested, just call my cell.

Rebecca at 11:32 AM Today... Can you believe that I didn't realize I have Easter break next week? I know I can be forgetful sometimes, but sheesh. I knew Easter was coming up, and I figured I'd get a couple of days off- but I had no idea that I had Monday-Monday off. It was definitely a pleasant surprise when someone tipped me off yesterday. On top of that- my class today got cancelled. So I am sitting pretty, doing a full 8-5 day at work- but that's still MUCH better than school.
Weekend Update... Tonight, Tommy and I have a "Date" - that should be fun.. and I may go try to see Mehul, who is a big league musician now! He's playing tonight at Tipitina's, with Dan Arnold & the Bywater Sound.. show starts at 10:30. Better get his autograph now, while you still can! Tomorrow night is "Hotel Minnesota gets Lai'd" - in celebration of Bobby & Alison's birthdays. (I still think that's pretty scary how close the birthdays fall.. at least we know they don't need to be asking "Hey Baby what's your sign".)
Sunday will probably be spent cleaning out my car (yes, I still haven't done that from District Convention + my garage sale), so you can better believe it's nasty. But, I have lots of free time now.. so I will be able to maintain it. I might even wax it with my amazing "Liquid Luster" (a car pro secret).

In General.. Life is going really really well. I'm totally looking forward to getting off of work so this weekend can begin- and I have a lot of fun and productive things planned for next week. I've had a really tough couple of months, but now, finally everything seems to be falling into place.
Rebecca at 9:08 AM Not too much today to report- I'm pretty stressed out over this huge test I have for my stupid environmental-liberal-SUVs are bad class. There's also the massive e-mail accounts/e-groups/files/disks trading that's going on on the Circle K front. I sent a short farewell e-mail, just because I have finally learned that when it comes to School VS CKI- School is more important! Hopefully, I'll keep access to the LMT blog for a few more days just to write something worthwhile... so check that out.
A Happy Birthday Shoutout to Alison and PH... both April Fool Babies... may you guys have great days filled with many happy birthday wishes and not so many April Fool jokes.
Oh... speaking of good news- I just wanted to let you all know that I'm running for CKI International President. I've decided that there are a bunch of good people running, but I really think I can beat 'em, and with what I've gone through this year with hellraisers, I think I can handle anybody! Not to mention, my own district was interested in endorsing me, and even if it was a joke- I may just take the District Board up on it. Is anyone interested in being on my campaign staff? If you are.. you're really naive.... april fools!!!!!!!
Did anyone try out for the Apprentice this morning? I would have- but I'm sick of assholes- I don't need to deal with anymore for at least a little while. :)
